This week we have been learning about density! We started off the week creating density towers. The students had to make a hypothesis about what order they thought the liquids would be in once poured into the jar. They knew that the most dense would be on the bottom and the least on the top. Then we also tested the densities of different objects by dropping them in. After creating one as a class, the students got to create a small one within their group. Today we had a lot of fun looking at come chemical and physical changes! We complete 4 labs in one day and it went amazingly! We found out what happens when milk and vinegar mix (it creates chunks in the milk! Gross!). We mixed to mystery chemicals to predict what would happen. Turns out... it was just colored water 😂 but it was a good example of a physical change. Elephant toothpaste created an oozing foam that flowed out of our flasks! Check out the gallery for pics of this one!
